This weekend, at the Youth Seminars, Dwight Peterson was talking about the danger of not living as a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17). He said "The stakes are incredibly high. There is no danger of not accomplishing the mission. The danger is in missing out on our part of the mission. God is going to accomplish exactly what He sets out to accomplish. It's just that we will get left behind and miss out on the opportunity to be part of the mission."
So spiritual growth has a benefit for me! Clean up the vessel so that God can use you! Watch for opportunities to be part of the mission!

Forget about cleaning up the vessel....you need to hit the dry dock! Now, there's a great quote!
been having trouble postibg reply comments? Maybe my new dsl hookup? Anyway A ship isn't productive sitting in dry dock until it is completely holy. Clean it up so it passes inspection and get it on the water being productive! Simply moving through the water will clean some of the junk off of the hull and use will work some of the squeeky parts free!
